MUMBAI: Lights, camera, agent-ion. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the creative industries, Collective Artists Network is betting that the future of storytelling will be built not by a single AI tool, but by an entire virtual creative crew working together.

The company has expanded Galleri5 AI Studio with the launch of Agentic Canvas, an AI-native platform designed to help filmmakers, brands and creators move from concept to execution faster and at a lower cost.

Unlike conventional AI tools that focus on generating standalone images or videos, Agentic Canvas functions as a collaborative creative team. The platform brings together 12 specialised AI agents that take on roles typically handled by writers, directors, cinematographers, art directors, critics and production planners.

The idea is simple: instead of forcing creators to become prompt engineers, the platform handles much of the creative workflow behind the scenes. One agent develops story structures and character arcs, another evaluates visual language and shot composition, while a dedicated critic agent challenges ideas and suggests improvements.

The launch builds on Galleri5’s experience in AI-powered content creation and collaborations with filmmakers including Rajesh Mapuskar, Rohit Vaid and Hansal Mehta. Insights from these real-world projects have helped shape the platform’s workflows, production methodologies and decision-making systems.

According to the company, Agentic Canvas supports image, video, audio, voice, lip-sync and multimodal content generation through a unified workflow. The platform is underpinned by an infrastructure layer capable of managing hundreds of AI models and creative processes at production scale.

Speaking about the launch, Collective Artists Network founder and group CEO Vijay Subramaniam said, “Every generation gets a new creative medium that changes how stories are told. We believe agentic AI is that medium for our generation. Beyond the automation, Agentic Canvas gives creators access to an entire creative team of AI specialists that can help develop ideas, explore possibilities and accelerate execution, while leaving creative judgment exactly where it belongs: with the storyteller.”

He added that creators who learn to collaborate effectively with emerging AI tools will help define the future of entertainment.

Meanwhile, Galleri5 CEO and partner at Collective Artists Network Rahul Regulapati said many AI platforms still place too much emphasis on prompting rather than creativity itself.

“Agentic Canvas brings together specialised AI writers, directors, cinematographers, art directors and critics that work together behind the scenes. The result is faster production, lower costs and significantly more creative exploration because creators can test ten ideas instead of one,” he said.

The platform is already being used across film projects, television productions, branded content campaigns and interactive digital experiences. These range from mythology-inspired cinematic universes to AI-powered avatars and immersive storytelling formats.

As competition intensifies in the AI content creation space, Collective Artists Network’s latest move signals a shift from standalone AI tools towards collaborative AI ecosystems. If traditional filmmaking relies on assembling the right team, Agentic Canvas is betting that the next creative dream team might just be digital.
