Catch Sprinklers unveils new TVC with Akshay Kumar

MUMBAI: Catch has just added some serious star power and a generous sprinkle of humour to its seasoning game. The popular DS Group brand has launched a lively new television commercial for its Sprinklers range, marking brand ambassador Akshay Kumar’s debut in the category. The film also features a hilarious special cameo by Rajpal Yadav.

In the TVC, Akshay tries to impress a girl by roping in expert chefs for different cuisines, all played by Rajpal Yadav in dramatic disguises as an Italian chef, Delhi chaat specialist, and fusion expert. While Rajpal’s over-the-top performances entertain, the real magic happens when Akshay secretly adds the right Catch Sprinkler, instantly elevating each dish. The film ends with a witty twist when Rajpal’s true identity is revealed and Akshay saves the moment with a Catch Raita Masala Sprinkler.

The campaign, conceptualised by Dentsu Creative Webchutney, playfully reinforces the idea that the right seasoning can transform any meal and any moment with the tagline “Kyunki Khana Sirf Khana Nahi Hota.”

DS Group general manager of marketing catch salt & spices Arnab Ghatak Choudhury said the campaign highlights the brand’s focus on convenience and innovation to match evolving culinary tastes.

Akshay Kumar noted that the storyline effectively showcases the wide variety and authentic flavours of the Sprinklers range, while Surjo Dutt, CEO & CCO of Dentsu Creative Webchutney, praised the effortless chemistry between the two actors.

With this entertaining film rolling out across TV, digital, social, and OTT platforms, Catch is serving up a relatable and flavourful reminder that sometimes all a dish needs is the perfect sprinkle.
