Bigbasket rolls out bbinstant smart stores across Kolkata

MUMBAI: Convenience has found a new address, and this time it comes without a cashier, a queue or even a closing bell. Bigbasket has expanded its quick commerce footprint in Kolkata with the launch of bbinstant, a network of cashless, unmanned smart stores designed to bring everyday essentials closer to where people live and work.

The move takes quick commerce beyond the smartphone screen and into physical spaces, with bbinstant kiosks being deployed across corporate offices, workplaces and residential communities throughout the city.

Operating round the clock, the smart stores offer a grab-and-go selection of snacks, beverages, ready-to-eat meals and daily essentials. The machines are restocked every day and support multiple digital payment options, allowing consumers to make purchases at any hour without waiting in line or interacting with store staff.

The launch reflects a broader shift in consumer behaviour, where convenience is increasingly measured not just by delivery speed but by product accessibility.
