BBDO India wins integrated creative mandate for LT Foods’ DAAWAT
Agency to lead strategy, advertising, digital and social for flagship rice brand
MUMBAI: The recipe for DAAWAT’s next chapter has a new creative ingredient. BBDO India has secured the integrated creative mandate for LT Foods’ flagship rice brand DAAWAT, bringing the brand’s strategy, mainline advertising, digital, social media and integrated communications under a single creative partner.
The account will be managed from BBDO India’s Gurugram office, which will work closely with LT Foods to strengthen DAAWAT’s market position and support its next phase of growth.
Under the mandate, the agency will be responsible for brand strategy, creative development and integrated communications, with the aim of delivering a unified consumer experience across multiple touchpoints.
The appointment comes as LT Foods looks to sharpen DAAWAT’s brand narrative while expanding its reach in an increasingly competitive FMCG landscape.
Commenting on the partnership, Ritesh Arora, CEO, India & Far East, LT Foods Ltd, said DAAWAT has been built over decades on the trust of millions of consumers and remains one of the country’s most recognised food brands. He added that the company was looking for a partner capable of combining strategic thinking with creative excellence and integrated capabilities to support the brand’s next stage of growth.
For BBDO India, the win adds another marquee FMCG account to its portfolio. Ashutosh Sawhney, Chief Operating Officer, BBDO Group India, noted that LT Foods has built a 70-plus-year legacy in the global FMCG sector and now has a presence in more than 85 countries. He said the agency aims to combine strategy, creativity and integration to strengthen DAAWAT’s brand equity and deepen consumer engagement.
The mandate reflects a broader trend in the advertising industry, where brands are increasingly consolidating creative responsibilities under a single agency partner to ensure consistent storytelling across traditional and digital platforms. For DAAWAT, the move signals a renewed focus on building a stronger, more connected brand as it prepares for its next phase of growth.
