Apollo Tyres celebrates women cricketers in new campaign
Film traces journeys of Harmanpreet, Smriti, Jemimah, Shafali and Renuka.
MUMBAI: Before the runs, records and roaring crowds came the real innings played on dusty grounds, long bus rides and against the odds. Apollo Tyres has rolled out a new chapter of its long-running ‘Har Safar Mein Dum Hai’ campaign, turning the spotlight on the journeys that shaped some of India’s biggest women’s cricket stars long before they wore the national colours.
As the lead sponsor of the Indian National Cricket Teams, the company has released a film featuring Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma and Renuka Singh, celebrating the grit, sacrifices and resilience that powered their rise to the international stage.
Rather than focusing on trophies and scorecards, the campaign rewinds to the lesser-known moments that defined these athletes. The film revisits Shafali Verma’s decision to cut her hair short to gain entry into boys’ cricket academies, Harmanpreet Kaur’s battle against social expectations, Smriti Mandhana’s inspiration from her brother, Jemimah Rodrigues’ determination to compete alongside boys, and Renuka Singh’s long journeys to training sessions.
The result is a narrative that shifts the spotlight from destination to determination, highlighting how success in sport is often built on years of persistence away from the cameras.
The campaign arrives at a time when women’s cricket continues to gain momentum in India, drawing larger audiences, stronger commercial backing and growing cultural relevance. Apollo Tyres positions the film as an extension of its broader brand philosophy that every meaningful achievement begins with a challenging journey.
Created as a digital-first campaign, the film will be amplified across Youtube and Meta platforms, supported by digital out-of-home activations, influencer collaborations and social media initiatives.
More than a cricket campaign, the film serves as a reminder that every celebrated cover drive, match-winning spell and record-breaking innings is often rooted in countless unseen battles. And in these stories, the road to success proves just as compelling as the finish line.
