LOS ANGELES: New job, now streaming. Anthony Randazzo, the marketing strategist who led campaign strategy for the opening of Universal Epic Universe, has joined Netflix as manager, marketing campaign strategy, experiences. He started in October 2026, working from the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area on a hybrid basis, after nine years and six months at Universal Destinations & Experiences.

Randazzo’s brief at Netflix is to help bring beloved Netflix stories to life through immersive experiences at Netflix House. In his words: “I’m so beyond grateful for the opportunity to be part of the team bringing beloved Netflix stories to life through immersive experiences at Netflix House. Can’t wait for what’s ahead!”

He arrives as a marketing strategist with more than eight years of experience, by his own account, leading creative strategy, integrated campaign management and product strategy in themed entertainment. His stated strength is translating audience insights, cultural signals and business objectives into cohesive integrated campaigns that drive engagement and long-term brand affinity. He has also led cross-functional marketing initiatives spanning brand strategy, creative development, media, PR, partnerships and experiential storytelling.

The analysis is simple. Netflix House turns screen stories into places, and Randazzo has spent his career making brands feel real in physical spaces. At Universal, his last post was manager, marketing, communication strategy and planning, held from January 2024 to September 2026 in Orlando, Florida. There he led campaign strategy for the opening of Universal Epic Universe, shaping the creative and integrated marketing across paid, owned, earned, international and in-park channels. He also led the New and Core Experiences marketing programme, overseeing strategy and execution for new attractions, land expansions and in-park activation campaigns for Universal Orlando Resort.

The method matters as much as the milestones. Randazzo led cross-functional partnership as the key thought partner bringing together brand strategy, creative, and owned, earned, trade and international partners. He developed integrated campaign and communication strategies rooted in audience insight, cultural relevance and business objectives. He gave creative partners insight-driven briefs that fuelled creative development and kept work on strategy and narrative. He also worked with external stakeholders including Warner Bros., Universal Pictures and Nintendo to ensure seamless brand integration across campaigns, and he managed and mentored a direct report.

The route to that role was a steady climb. Randazzo joined Universal in April 2017 as coordinator, consumer marketing, for Universal Parks and Resorts Vacations (UPRV), handling project management for vacation package strategies across Florida, outer US and Canada. He became representative, consumer marketing, in February 2019, expanding package opportunities for segment partners including group, youth, employee, military, annual pass and Blue Man Group, as well as premium products such as VIP Experiences and Universal Express Pass.

In November 2019 he became representative, consumer and trade marketing. He led vacation package strategy for marquee events including Mardi Gras, Rock the Universe, Halloween Horror Nights and Holidays at Universal Orlando. He built relationships with corporate partners including American Express and Avis Budget Group, and managed more than $500,000 in total marketing budgets annually for B2B and B2B2C awareness, lead generation and conversion. He also developed co-op campaigns with AAA/CAA, Travel Leaders Network, Nexion and other travel industry sales partners.

In April 2022 he became senior representative, marketing, audience journey planning, leading audience communication strategy for the Halloween Horror Nights “Affinity” audiences at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. From December 2022 to February 2024 he was senior representative, marketing, communication strategy and planning, leading creative and integrated campaign strategy across Halloween Horror Nights and Holidays at Universal, and overseeing alignment across creative, media, PR, social, partnerships and international teams.

Before Universal, Randazzo was a domestic leisure sales support, sales integration intern at Disney Parks & Resorts from June 2016 to April 2017. He also interned at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in New York and took part in the Disney College Program as a food and beverage host at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The takeaway is positive. Netflix gets a strategist who has launched major theme park attractions, worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment and spent years turning audience insight into campaigns people can walk through. For a streaming giant building real-world experiences, it is a strong fit.
