BENGALURU: Anera Silver by Kushals has appointed Sumit Mukherjee to lead its brand and marketing function as the silver jewellery brand prepares to expand its retail footprint across India, with a long-term target of opening 100-150 stores over the next five years.

Mukherjee brings 13 years of experience across consumer and technology businesses, including OnePlus, Redington, CaratLane, Microsoft and Moglix. His expertise spans brand building, retail and experiential marketing, consumer engagement and integrated campaigns.

In his new role, Mukherjee will oversee brand strategy and communication, retail marketing, public relations, digital marketing, above-the-line and below-the-line campaigns, events, influencer and celebrity partnerships, content and consumer experience.

The mandate includes building a distinctive identity for Anera Silver and ensuring a consistent customer experience across its retail stores and digital channels as the company scales its presence.

“Building a brand from its early stages is always special because you have the opportunity to shape not just how it looks, but how people experience, connect with and remember it,” said Sumit Mukherjee.

“With Anera Silver, the focus is on creating a distinctive brand world across every consumer touchpoint and building a strong, consistent experience as we begin our retail journey,” he added.

Founded by Kalpesh Gulechha, Anera Silver is positioning itself in the premium silver jewellery segment through contemporary designs, craftsmanship, technology and an elevated retail experience. Its collections span festive occasions, celebrations, gifting, bridal jewellery and everyday wear.

The brand has begun its retail journey with a store in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout and plans to build a network of large-format outlets across India. It is also exploring opportunities in international markets.

Mukherjee’s appointment comes as the company looks to build brand awareness and deepen consumer engagement while establishing a distinct position in the silver jewellery market.
