Amar Chitra Katha appoints Aman Srivastava as CEO

MUMBAI: Amar Chitra Katha has appointed Aman Srivastava as its new chief executive officer, bringing on board a media and marketing veteran to steer the iconic storytelling brand into its next phase of growth.

Srivastava joins the company after serving as head of marketing at Sony LIV, where he played a key role in strengthening the OTT platform’s market position and expanding its reach in India’s increasingly competitive streaming landscape.

With more than two decades of experience across digital transformation, brand building and business strategy, Srivastava is expected to focus on expanding ACK’s storytelling universe beyond books and comics. The company plans to deepen its push into immersive experiences while reimagining legacy characters and stories for younger, digital-first audiences.

As part of his new mandate, Srivastava will also oversee the future growth of Tinkle, one of India’s most recognisable children’s entertainment brands.

Meanwhile, Amar Chitra Katha director Rana Daggubati said the appointment comes at a crucial time for the company as it looks to modernise its storytelling approach across formats and platforms.

He added that Srivastava’s experience in scaling content-led brands makes him well suited to help ACK connect with newer audiences in India and overseas.

Amar Chitra Katha has long been regarded as a cultural touchstone for generations of Indian readers through its mythological, historical and educational comics. With this leadership transition, the company appears set to blend nostalgia with new-age storytelling, aiming to keep its beloved characters relevant in an increasingly digital entertainment world.
