Bigg Boss brings four South superstars together ahead of September 6 premiere
Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Sudeepa and Mohanlal unite for a playful crossover
MUMBAI: Four hosts, four languages and one seriously crowded Bigg Boss house. Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal have shared the screen for the first time in a new promo ahead of the simultaneous premiere of Bigg Boss Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam on September 6, 2026.
The crossover brings together the faces of the franchise’s four South Indian editions in a playful exchange built around food, culture and a little confusion. The hosts find themselves in a light-hearted mix-up involving dishes from each other’s states, turning the language divide into the punchline while showcasing their distinct personalities.
The unusual four-way reunion also brings together four sizeable fan bases ahead of what JioStar is positioning as a unified South launch for the franchise.
Bigg Boss has developed a different relationship with audiences in each market, with its hosts playing a role beyond simply introducing weekend episodes. Their humour, observations, interventions and conversations with contestants have become part of the viewing experience giving each regional edition its own flavour.

The simultaneous launch means September 6 will see all four editions begin together, although each will continue with its own contestants, stories and cultural context.
On television, Bigg Boss Tamil will air on Star Vijay, Bigg Boss Telugu on Star Maa, Bigg Boss Kannada on Colors Kannada and Bigg Boss Malayalam on Asianet. All four editions will also stream on JioHotstar.
The franchise is owned and produced by Banijay Asia and EndemolShine India.
With four hosts now sharing one screen before returning to their respective Bigg Boss worlds, the message is clear: this season, the South is getting its reality-TV drama in four languages but starting on the same day.
