MUMBAI: Every agency has a next big pitch. Sometimes, it’s the talent sitting at the head of the table. Leo India has appointed Alin Choubey as Vice President – Digital, strengthening its leadership team as agencies continue to expand their digital, technology and integrated marketing capabilities amid growing client demand for end-to-end solutions.

Choubey, who announced the move on LinkedIn, will lead the agency’s digital operations and oversee key accounts including PepsiCo Food & Beverages, HCL Group, Schneider Electric and California Almonds.

He joins Leo India after spending the past two years as an independent marketing consultant, where he worked with growth-stage agencies to improve delivery structures, organisational design and client experience across social, performance and digital mandates. His consulting portfolio included brands such as BMW Motorrad, Cinépolis, Myntra FWD, Myprotein, MTR International and realme.

Before that, Choubey served as Business Head – North & South India at FoxyMoron, where he managed regional operations, led cross-agency collaboration across a network of nine partner agencies and handled end-to-end profit and loss responsibilities. During his tenure, he worked on campaigns for brands including Hero MotoCorp, Escorts Kubota, Western Digital, SanDisk, TVS, Wrangler, AO Smith, DS Group, Kingfisher, Perfetti Van Melle and Nothing.

His career also includes more than three years at Chimp&z, where he rose from Business Director – Digital Integration to Associate Vice President, overseeing operations for teams of more than 100 professionals and managing over 75 client accounts. He played a role in the agency’s international expansion while leading campaigns for Tata Play, Discovery, Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network, Eurosport, ALTBalaji and Tata Steel Foundation.

Earlier stints at Herald Digital, Vermillion Communications, Modern Cloud and Reliance Communications saw him work across digital strategy, branding, performance marketing and integrated communications for clients spanning automotive, luxury, FMCG, media and government sectors.

The appointment comes as advertising agencies increasingly consolidate creative, media, technology and data capabilities under unified leadership teams to meet evolving client expectations. With businesses demanding integrated digital solutions rather than standalone campaigns, agencies are placing greater emphasis on leaders who combine commercial acumen with experience across strategy, operations and technology.

For Leo India, Choubey’s appointment signals a continued focus on strengthening its digital offering as brands accelerate investments in AI, content, commerce and customer experience across an increasingly fragmented media landscape.
