Cheil India appoints Mandeep Aarya as ATL Buying Lead for Samsung
Media investment veteran joins Cheil after roles at NDTV, iProspect and Dentsu Media
MUMBAI: Every media plan needs the right buy, and Mandeep Aarya has made one of his own. The media investment professional has joined Cheil India as ATL Buying Lead for Samsung, marking a new chapter in a career spanning more than a decade across media agencies, broadcasters and brand-side planning.
Aarya announced the move on LinkedIn, saying he was “excited” to begin the new journey at Cheil India.
In his new role, he will oversee above-the-line (ATL) media buying for Samsung, strengthening Cheil India’s media planning and investment capabilities for one of the country’s largest consumer electronics brands.
Before joining Cheil India, Aarya was associated with NDTV as Agency Relationship Head, a position he held from November 2024 to June 2026, where he focused on strengthening partnerships with media agencies.
Earlier, he spent more than eight years at iProspect as Media Strategist – Investment, building expertise in media strategy, investment and integrated marketing. His career also includes a two-year stint as Investment Group Head at Dentsu Media, where he managed media investment responsibilities across key accounts.
Aarya’s professional journey began with roles at Arise India Ltd. as Media Manager, Alliance Advertising & Marketing Pvt. Ltd. as Media Planner, and Portrait Advertising & Marketing Pvt. Ltd. as Media Executive, giving him broad experience across agency planning, media buying and client management.
The appointment comes as brands continue to sharpen their media investment strategies amid a rapidly evolving advertising landscape, where effective planning and buying have become increasingly critical in maximising campaign efficiency across traditional and digital platforms.
