HCLTech appoints Aditya Chawla as area sales director
Enterprise sales veteran returns to HCLTech after nearly seven years with the company
NEW DELHI: Sometimes the next big career move takes you right back to where you started. Aditya Chawla has returned to HCLTech, joining the technology services company as area sales director within its Neo.AI business unit.
Chawla announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post, describing the move as a “true homecoming” after spending nearly seven years at HCLTech earlier in his career. In his new role, he will work with organisations looking to accelerate their digital transformation initiatives through artificial intelligence and innovation-led solutions.
“I look forward to partnering with clients to create meaningful business impact for them,” Chawla said while announcing his return to the company.
A seasoned sales and business development professional, Chawla brings more than 15 years of experience spanning enterprise sales, account management, client relationship management and strategic business development across the technology and financial services sectors.
Before rejoining HCLTech, he served as global client account manager at AVASO Technology Solutions, where he was responsible for managing key customer relationships, driving client growth and onboarding new enterprise accounts. His role focused on customer retention, business expansion and identifying opportunities to deepen client engagement across global markets.
Chawla’s earlier stint at HCLTech lasted nearly seven years, during which he progressed through multiple leadership roles including assistant manager, deputy manager and manager. He was responsible for managing end-to-end sales cycles, developing account strategies, overseeing commercial engagements and driving revenue growth across a portfolio of enterprise clients.
During his tenure, he worked closely with cross-functional teams spanning finance, delivery, project management and resourcing functions. He also played a key role in account planning, business case development, customer analytics and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling technology solutions.
Prior to his first tenure at HCLTech, Chawla held roles at Citi and Worldwide EduConnect, gaining experience in client acquisition, marketing and relationship management. These early assignments helped build the customer-centric approach that has defined much of his professional journey.
Academically, Chawla holds an MBA in Marketing from IBS Hyderabad, providing a strong foundation for a career that has blended sales leadership with strategic business development.
His appointment comes at a time when enterprises are increasingly investing in AI-led transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences and unlock new growth opportunities. As part of HCLTech’s Neo.AI business, Chawla will focus on helping organisations navigate this rapidly evolving technology landscape and translate AI investments into measurable business outcomes.
With deep expertise in enterprise sales and a strong understanding of customer needs, Chawla’s return marks a significant addition to HCLTech’s AI-focused growth ambitions. For the company, it is the return of a familiar face. For Chawla, it is a homecoming powered by fresh perspectives and new opportunities.
