India Today Influence taps network’s Instagram scale for brands

Influencer arm combines creator marketing with market-leading social reach.

MUMBAI: In the battle for attention, reach is currency and India Today Influence has just added a bigger vault to its arsenal. India Today’s influencer marketing business is betting that creator credibility alone is no longer enough. The India Today Group’s influencer marketing arm, India Today Influence, has announced that its campaigns will now be powered directly by the group’s expansive Instagram ecosystem, bringing together creator-led storytelling and one of the country’s largest social media distribution networks.

The move aims to give brands access not only to influencers and creators but also to the scale and audience trust built by the India Today Group across digital platforms.

At the centre of the proposition is Instagram, where the network claims a commanding lead in user engagement. According to Comscore data for FY26, the India Today Instagram handle holds a 57 per cent market share and generates 218 per cent higher engagement than its nearest competitor among English television news publishers.

Its Hindi-language counterpart, Aaj Tak Instagram, performs even more aggressively, securing a 52 per cent-plus market share while outperforming its closest rival by 348 per cent, according to the same dataset.

The wider digital ecosystem adds further weight to the offering. Across Facebook, Instagram and X, Aaj Tak recorded more than 1.6 billion interactions and delivered 52 per cent year-on-year growth, reinforcing the network’s position as one of India’s most active social publishers.

For marketers, the integration reflects a broader shift in influencer marketing. Brands are increasingly seeking campaigns that combine creator authenticity with measurable scale rather than relying solely on influencer reach.

India Today Influence said its strategy combines audience analytics, editorial storytelling and creator partnerships to deliver campaigns across categories including lifestyle, entertainment, technology, education, health and travel.

The development comes as influencer marketing continues to mature from a niche branding tool into a mainstream media channel, with advertisers placing greater emphasis on performance, audience quality and trust.

By linking creators with a distribution engine already reaching millions of users daily, India Today Influence is positioning itself at the intersection of content, credibility and scale, a combination marketers are increasingly prioritising in a crowded digital landscape.

As competition intensifies across the creator economy, the message is clear: in an era of endless scrolling, it’s not just about who tells the story, but how far that story travels.
