CREX and Big Cricket League team up to score bigger fan engagement
As BCL Season 2 gets ready to bowl off on June 3, the partnership aims to bring fans closer to the action through interactive experiences, wider digital reach and deeper connections with the game
MUMBAI: CREX, one of India’s fastest-growing cricket platforms, has joined hands with the Big Cricket League (BCL) as the official fan engagement partner for the league’s second season, which gets underway on June 3.
When it comes to modern cricket, the real boundary isn’t on the field it’s the distance between the game and its fans. CREX and the Big Cricket League are looking to clear that rope with ease.
The partnership brings together CREX’s vast cricket-loving audience and BCL’s distinctive Pro-Am format, creating a platform designed to deepen fan interaction and amplify the league’s digital footprint.
Positioning itself as the world’s first Pro-Am cricket competition, the Big Cricket League has carved out a niche by giving grassroots cricketers the rare opportunity to share the dressing room and the spotlight with international stars. The upcoming season will feature former cricketing heavyweights including Shikhar Dhawan, Chris Gayle, Harbhajan Singh and Ross Taylor, alongside aspiring talent looking to make their mark.
With fan engagement becoming as valuable as runs and wickets in today’s sporting landscape, both organisations see the collaboration as a natural fit. The partnership will focus on delivering richer digital experiences, increasing audience participation and strengthening the connection between supporters and the game.
CREX CEO Purshotam Rawat, said the league’s blend of established stars and emerging cricketers presents a compelling proposition for fans. He noted that cricket is increasingly driven by community interaction and engagement, making the partnership an opportunity to create a more immersive experience at scale.
For the Big Cricket League, the tie-up reflects a broader ambition to build a fan-centric sporting property. Founder and president R.P. Singh said meaningful engagement now extends far beyond what happens between the wickets, adding that CREX’s expertise would help the league foster stronger relationships between fans, players and the stories behind the competition.
BCL co-founder and CEO Annirudh Chauhan, echoed that sentiment, describing the alliance as a complementary partnership that combines CREX’s cricket-first ecosystem with the league’s differentiated format. He said the collaboration would help expand BCL’s digital reach while bringing supporters closer to the action.
Over the years, CREX has evolved from a live scores platform into a broader cricket ecosystem offering commentary, statistics, insights and interactive features tailored to modern fans. As its user base continues to grow globally, the company has increasingly focused on creating community-driven experiences around the sport.
With Season 2 ready to begin, the partnership signals a shared ambition: turning spectators into participants and ensuring that fan engagement remains at the heart of the cricketing experience.
