Parul Goel named in British Asians Power 100, wins media achievement award
Zee executive earns dual honours for leadership and impact in global media
LONDON: It was a night of star power, and for Parul Goel, the spotlight shone particularly bright. Parul Goel, territory head – Europe and chief financial officer for the UK, Europe, USA and Canada at Zee Entertainment UK Limited, has been recognised among the prestigious British Asians Power 100 and awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Media honour at the British Asians Who’s Who Awards 2026.
Organised by Samara Events, the annual awards celebrate British Asian leaders who have made a significant impact across business, media, public service and the creative industries. This year’s edition attracted more than 7,000 nominations, with only a select group earning a place among the final honourees and the coveted Power 100 list.
The recognition marks another milestone in Goel’s nearly two-decade journey with Zee. Since joining the network in 2007, he has played a central role in expanding the broadcaster’s international footprint, overseeing strategy and operations across multiple markets in Europe and the Americas.
During his tenure, Zee’s presence in international markets has grown substantially. The company expanded from two television channels to nine channels while also strengthening its digital business through streaming platform ZEE5. Today, Zee is regarded as one of the largest Indian media networks operating in Europe, serving audiences across television and digital platforms.
Reflecting on the honour, Parul Goel said, “From being a ‘no one’ to being part of the British Asians Who’s Who, has been a truly humbling journey. This recognition reflects not just personal milestones, but the resilience, opportunities, and collective effort of everyone who has been part of this journey.”
He added, “I am deeply grateful to my teams, mentors, industry colleagues, and my family for their unwavering support. This achievement belongs to all of them as much as it does to me.”
The latest accolade adds to a growing list of honours recognising Goel’s contribution to the media and entertainment industry. Earlier, he was recognised for Distinguished Leadership in Digital Future at the House of Lords, highlighting his role in driving digital transformation and business growth across Zee’s international operations.
The awards ceremony brought together prominent figures from across sectors, underscoring the growing influence of the British Asian community in shaping the UK’s economic, cultural and business landscape.
For Goel, the recognition is both a personal achievement and a reflection of the wider success story of British Asian leadership. As media businesses continue to evolve in a rapidly changing digital world, his journey stands as a reminder that steady leadership, strategic vision and global ambition remain a powerful combination.
