B4U Music in association with Tanishq brings Pinjar contest. The winner stands to win a piece of timeless jewellery. The particiapants have to answer a simple question based on the Indian history.
 
 
 
Based on Amrita Pritam’s famous novel, Pinjar depicts riots, mayhem and human suffering that occurred during the 1947 partition and give a human perspective to the tragic event. The movie stars Urmila Matondkar as Puro, Manoj Bajpai as Rashid,Sanjay Suri as Ramchand, Sandali Sinha as Lajo and Priyanshu Chatterjee as Trilok who have been victims of the partition and the communal riots and at the same time have experienced love and compassion in the hearts of the people.
Protagonist Puro has been a victim of circumstances during the turbulent times of the partition of India, who wants to rewrite her destiny and survive amidst hatred. Rashid has committed an unpardonable crime and once upon a time rich Ramchand is a man of peace and love has lost his loved ones and now has to live as refugee. As for Lajo, a newly married woman, life has taken a dramatic turn. Trilok is an idealist completely against the beliefs of the society, torn between relationships between the families.

Set in the pre partition and partition era, 56 years ago when 25 lakh people were forced to leave everything behind and flee, thousands lost their lives in the ensuing violence. It is the story is people who amidst of the hatred, bloodshed and confusion, dared to forgive and even began to love the ‘enemy’
