‘She Made It’ website honors American women in TV and Radio

MUMBAI: The US Museum of Television and Radio has launched the She Made It website – www.shemadeit.org – to celebrate the achievements of creative and business American women in the fields of television and radio.

The museum will honour great women writers, directors, producers, journalists, sportscasters and executives. The museum has tied up with Nine Systems which provides streaming media applications and content delivery solutions.

The Museum of Television and Radio’s television curator Ron Simon says, “We anticipate by the end of this three-year project, we will have 2000 hours of programming compiled from our existing collection of over 120,000 programmes and other additional programming. As our goal is to make this collection available to the public, we are pleased that we can offer our audiences outside of New York and Los Angeles a streaming media option allowing them to view the extraordinary work of our honorees.”

Nine Systems will manage and deliver the streaming video content of the Museum seminar series and other related programming featuring the work of the 2005 She Made It honourees. The streamed She Made It seminar series and programming will be delivered through Nine Systems’ Network of Networks, the industry first aggregated system that routes all types of rich media across multiple top-tier CDNs.

MUMBAI: Samsung TV Plus has just turned up the laughter volume and it’s completely free. The leading free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service in India has launched Kings of Comedy, a premium comedy channel featuring some of the country’s most beloved primetime shows. Available exclusively on Samsung TV Plus, the channel delivers back-to-back hits including Comedy Nights with Kapil, Khatra Khatra Khatra, and Comedy Nights Bachao, with no login or subscription required.

The launch marks a milestone for free streaming in India, offering audiences a dedicated comedy destination directly from their Samsung TV home screen. It arrives as Samsung TV Plus India celebrates its 5th anniversary, during which the service has grown its monthly active users by 42 per cent and more than doubled its total viewing hours. The platform now offers over 180 free channels across 14 languages.

Our focus remains the same take the content people know and make it effortless to access.”

Globally, Samsung TV Plus has surpassed 100 million monthly active users across more than 4,500 channels, solidifying its position as one of the world’s leading free streaming services.
