Roadies REBIRTH sets 16 October premiere with six Gang Leaders and new format

MUMBAI: The Roadies are back, but this time the gang game has doubled up. JioHotstar and MTV are set to bring the 21st season of India’s adventure reality show, Roadies REBIRTH, with a new format featuring six Gang Leaders divided into two teams.

The new season will premiere on 16 October and will stream on JioHotstar while airing on MTV every Friday and Saturday at 7 pm.

Roadies REBIRTH introduces a face-off between three OG Gang Leaders and three NewG Gang Leaders. The OG team features Nikhil Chinapa, Neha Dhupia and Prince Narula, while the NewGs comprise Abhishek Malhan, Bani J and Baseer Ali.

The latest promo gives a glimpse into the chemistry between the two teams as the Gang Leaders prepare for the Roadies journey. Host Rannvijay Singha checks in with the OGs and NewGs as they put themselves through fitness challenges.

The OGs, comprising Neha, Nikhil and Prince, are seen working out together, but a bench-press attempt quickly turns into a comic fail. On the NewGs’ side, Bani and Baseer take on a push-up challenge, with Abhishek joining in as their own fitness face-off ends in similar chaos.

The promo also highlights the equation between Prince and Neha. Their contrasting personalities create a playful dynamic, with Prince attempting to help Neha while she takes a dig at his general knowledge skills.

The NewGs appear equally out of sync, with Bani, Baseer and Abhishek’s banter offering an early glimpse of the chemistry they will bring to the new format.

While the OGs enter the season with years of Roadies experience, the NewGs bring a younger and newer dynamic to the competition. The format is expected to put their strategies, alliances and leadership styles against each other as the journey unfolds.

Rannvijay Singha said the six-leader format will bring a new dynamic to the show.

“That’s the attitude we need, because this time the fight is going to be tough. You all know that this time on Roadies REBIRTH, there are two gangs but six people running the game. Three OGs will face three NewGs and this is a dynamic we’ve never seen before on Roadies. The real journey is about to begin, and I can’t wait to see what they bring to the Roadies journey!” he said.

With two teams, six Gang Leaders and a new leadership setup, Roadies REBIRTH is set to introduce another twist to the long-running adventure reality format.

Roadies REBIRTH premieres on 16 October and airs every Friday and Saturday at 7 pm on JioHotstar and MTV.
