Nickelodeon Africa expands to various platforms
| MUMBAI: Kids channel Nickelodeon is set to be available on various platforms in Africa that include the internet and licensing and merchandising. The channel will launch a Nickelodeon Africa website nickelodeonafrica.com, later this month. Targeted at kids between 2-14 years, the website will feature a host of interactive elements such as games and downloads, programming news and community areas. |
Next on the anvil is the launch of Nickelodeon‘s mobile TV channel through the Vodacom network in Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania. The channel will host a range of Nickelodeon‘s most popular shows on a weekly basis.
Southern African licensing agency, Character Licensing & Marketing, will introduce consumer products licensing programmes for Spongebob, Squarepants and Dora The Explorer to expand the channel‘s reach in the region. The licensing programs will focus on toys, gifts, apparel, house-wares and home entertainment.

MUMBAI: Shin chan is back and this time, he’s bringing the whole house of masti with him! Sony YAY!, India’s leading kids’ entertainment channel, has unveiled ‘House of Masti’, a specially curated programming block to mark 20 years of the iconic animated series Shin chan on Indian television. The campaign transforms the beloved character’s mischievous world into a fresh, high-energy viewing experience. It features new episodes, fan-favourite moments, and themed programming stunts, all designed to stand out from regular broadcasts.
Adding extra sparkle to the celebration, popular comedian Kiku Sharda has joined the campaign. He anchors the integration with a lively rap track titled ‘Shin chan ka YAY! Dhamaal’, infusing contemporary music and humour into the beloved series.

Starting 27 April, viewers can enjoy the World Television Premiere of Shin chan along with new episodes and an exciting lineup of blockbuster movies on Sony YAY!.
