The campaign brought together public representatives, cultural personalities and names from the Marathi entertainment industry as part of News18 Marathi’s festival-focused engagement.

A key feature of the campaign was the Ganpati Pandal Competition, which saw participation from 85 pandals across Maharashtra.

The pandals were assessed on parameters including décor, presentation and other aspects of the overall celebrations. The competition formed a central part of the campaign’s on-ground engagement across the state.

The initiative also featured Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, water resources minister Girish Mahajan, MLA Nana Patole, transport minister and Dharashiv guardian minister Pratap Sarnaik, revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Food and Drug Administration commissioner Tukaram Mundhe, former Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar and Mumbai mayor Ritu Tawde, among other public representatives.

The campaign also brought together actors and creators from several Marathi productions.

The cast of Hanuman Ansh, including Vishal Chaturvedi, Namrata, Ragini, Shobhinav and Sadhu, participated in the campaign. Other participants included Psycho Ranga cast members Janhavi Killedar, Smita Gondkar and Devendra Choughule.

The campaign also featured the cast of Sunday 1996, including Ganesh Yadav, Onkar Raut and Pankaj Vishnu, along with director Jeevan Rajendra Chavan.

Actors Makarand Anaspure and Gauri Ingawle from Dashami also joined the celebrations, while Kailas Waghmare and the cast of Gondhal, India’s official entry for the 99th Academy Awards, were part of the campaign.

Through ‘Bappa Morya Re’, News18 Marathi sought to strengthen its connection with Maharashtra’s cultural and community traditions while creating large-scale engagement around Ganpati celebrations.

The campaign was co-presented by Oxyrich and co-powered by Pitambari Devbhakti Agarbatti, Reliance Industries, SBI and Fortune Plus Refined Soyabean Oil.

SVC Co-operative Bank, Dr. Bawaskar Technology (Agro), JSW Neosteel, Macroman and Malkist were special partners, while Senco came on board as the jewellery partner and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board as the associate sponsor.
