MUMBAI: Some awards recognise achievement; others capture the spirit of a nation in motion. News18 India is set to host the fourth edition of its flagship honours platform, Amrit Ratna 2026, on June 17 in New Delhi, bringing together some of the country’s most influential leaders, policymakers and achievers to celebrate individuals helping shape India’s growth journey.

Over the past three editions, Amrit Ratna has established itself as a prominent platform recognising excellence across public service, business, sports, arts and social impact. This year’s edition continues that tradition, spotlighting individuals whose contributions reflect the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ and the broader ambition of building a Viksit Bharat.

The event is expected to attract an influential gathering of political leaders, industry voices, jury members and award recipients, creating a forum that goes beyond recognition to highlight the ideas and leadership driving India’s transformation.

Among the distinguished guests scheduled to attend are Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Minister of Rural Development; Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs; Sanjay Seth, Minister of State for Defence; and former Union Minister Smriti Irani.

The selection process is overseen by an eminent jury comprising General (Retd.) V.P. Malik, former Chief of Army Staff; former Member of Parliament Ranjan Gogoi; former G20 Sherpa and ex-NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant; and renowned pulmonologist Dr Randeep Guleria, Director of Medical Education at Medanta.

As India continues its ascent on the global stage, platforms such as Amrit Ratna increasingly serve as a reflection of the people powering that progress from innovators and public servants to entrepreneurs and social changemakers whose work extends far beyond individual achievement.

The fourth edition arrives at a time when conversations around India’s future are becoming increasingly focused on leadership, innovation and nation-building. By celebrating individuals creating measurable impact across sectors, the event aims to spotlight the human stories behind the country’s development narrative.

With its latest edition, Amrit Ratna 2026 seeks not just to honour excellence, but to showcase the diverse voices, ideas and achievements contributing to India’s next chapter.
