Natasha Malhotra is Disney’s TV biz head in India
| MUMBAI: Walt Disney Television International (India) has roped in former Arab Television Network COO Natasha Malhotra as VP and GM. |
In her new role, Malhotra will oversee all the Disney channels in India – Disney Channel, Jetix and Hungama TV. |
Based in Mumbai, Malhotra will report to Walt Disney Company India SVP and MD Mahesh Samant. Malhotra will replace Antoine Villeneuve who will return to his native France after a two-year term in India. Samat said, “Malhotra comes to us with extensive content and creative experience. This, combined with her expertise in managing businesses in Asian markets, will help take the channels to the next level in India. She will bring in a unique perspective to the Disney India leadership team.” Malhotra had joined Arab TV Network in 2007. Based in Dubai, she was overseeing the network’s channels that included MTV and Nickelodeon Arabia, and Noor TV – a live radio TV channel. Prior to Arab TV Network, she was in MTV Networks Asia for 11 years. Sony YAY! launches ‘House of Masti’ to celebrate 20 years of Shin chan
Comedian Kiku Sharda joins the fun with a special rap track as the mischievous icon returns to Indian TV.
MUMBAI: Shin chan is back and this time, he’s bringing the whole house of masti with him! Sony YAY!, India’s leading kids’ entertainment channel, has unveiled ‘House of Masti’, a specially curated programming block to mark 20 years of the iconic animated series Shin chan on Indian television. The campaign transforms the beloved character’s mischievous world into a fresh, high-energy viewing experience. It features new episodes, fan-favourite moments, and themed programming stunts, all designed to stand out from regular broadcasts.
Adding extra sparkle to the celebration, popular comedian Kiku Sharda has joined the campaign. He anchors the integration with a lively rap track titled ‘Shin chan ka YAY! Dhamaal’, infusing contemporary music and humour into the beloved series.

Starting 27 April, viewers can enjoy the World Television Premiere of Shin chan along with new episodes and an exciting lineup of blockbuster movies on Sony YAY!.
