Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 & Sachin Bhau Ahire celebrate Eid and Diwali
Mumbai, November 6, 2005: Zee TV’s leading programme Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 and Sachin Bhau Ahire, President NCP Mumbai celebrated the festival of Eid and Diwali with a unique event called “Diwali – Eid Melava”. The event was held under the banner of the charitable welfare trust “Sankalp Pratishthan” which has been founded by Sachin Bhau Ahire and his wife Sangeeta Ahire.
Shaan and 10 finalists from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 entertained the gathered crowd with mesmerizing recent chart busters. Nihira and Swananda (Maharashtrian contestants from Challenge 2005) began the event by singing famous Marathi numbers Aika Dajiba and Reshma.
Shaan got the crowed swaying with his hits Koi Kahe, Tanha Dil and My Dil Goes Hmmm… Rajiv, Himani and Hemachandra representing Adesh Shrivastav’s gharana performed on the song Chali Chali from the movie Baghbaan, Vineet from Ismail Darbar’s gharana sang Ashique Banaya Apne. Jatin Lalit’s gharana, represented by Sharib and Swananda performed on Bole Chudiyan while Debojit, Nihira and Twinkle from Ismail Darbar’s gharana performed on who kisna hai from the movie Kisna.
Mr. Punit Goenka, Business Head, Zee TV graced the occasion and shared the dais with Sachin Bhau Ahire and Saangeeta Ahire.
The enthralling event held on November 5, at The Jambhoori Maidan grounds at BDD Chawl, Worli witnessed a crowd of over 6000 spectators.
