Zoom’s chat show ‘Just Pooja’ debates the issue of celebrity and privacy
On 28 May at 10 pm Zoom's chat show Just Pooja sees two of Bollywood's dudes Shahid Kapur and Aftab Shivdasani in conversation with host Pooja Bedi on the issue of Privacy in Celebrity Lives. The show repeats on 1 June at 9 pm.
Kapur retorts, "I do not throw my weight around…I throw it only at home when I am with my loved ones. Other than acting and films I do not think there is anything else that I would be doing. I do not want to leave stardom for more Privacy…. Am very happy with what I have"
He then deliberates on media responsibility by saying, "The media should know when to draw the line. They should know how much is humane. The kissing controversy was very unfair on the part of media. It was like being punched in the dark."
Shivdasani adds to that by remarking, "It is important to build a reputation especially because we are public figures. To maintain ones dignity and integrity we all fight a battle with the Media. Things are made to be larger than life because we are public figures. Obviously popularity increases with both good and bad publicity."
Shivdasani makes one critical statement on the show, "I think there is soon going to be a war between the media and celebrities. Stars will start isolating themselves from the media and media will have nobody but themselves to blame."
