Zoom to telecast ‘Pantene Zoom Elite Model Look’
MUMBAI: Zoom, India’s first non-fiction lifestyle & entertainment channel, has acquired exclusive telecast rights for Pantene Zoom Elite Model Look 2004.
The show will be telecast on Zoom on 28 November 2004 at 8 PM The Elite Model look, which will be held for the first time in India, has brought together three biggies: Elite, the largest modeling agency in the world; Pantene, the world’s largest selling shampoo; and Zoom.
The ‘Pantene Zoom Elite Model Look’ is the world’s premier beauty and fashion model search and is set to attract thousands of acclaimed and aspiring Indian beauties with the top 15 finalists being awarded one-year contracts with Elite Model Management, India.
Speaking to indiantelevision.com about the contract, Zoom COO Apurva Purohit said, “It is for the event only. And with our aim being to present the best in lifestyle and fashion viewing, this show gives us a platform to produce international quality TV content for our Indian viewers. Also, this helps us to take our entertainment beyond movies, music and soaps.”
Through this venture, the efforts will also be to create a launch pad for aspiring fresh Indian models, who would represent India at the prestigious international Elite Model Look 2004. This is slated to be held over 10 days in Asia’s fashion capital of Shanghai where 15 international finalists will receive a dream come true two-year guaranteed, global modeling contract, worth over one million US dollars per year.
The Pantene Zoom Elite Model Look search began nationally on 29 October and contestants were selected through open auditions at Planet M outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chandigarh.
The Pantene Zoom Elite Model Look search will yield 25 contestants who will go through intensive training from 13th to 15 November, prior to the finals being held on 16 November 2004 at Jaypee Vasant Continental, New Delhi,
