Zee TV launching lifestyle mag to plea subscribers

Zee TV is launching a new lifestyle and listings magazine to tab its UK Asian subscribers. Aimed at appealing the traditional as well as the young Anglo-Asians, this lifestyle publication magazine with a listing for Zee TV, will feature interviews with well-known Asians working in various fields like fashion, entertainment, music, architecture, sport and comedy.

The launch issue, due to be out in June, will have Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan on the cover along with interviews of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta. Other than that musician Nitin Sawhney and sculptor Anish Kapoor are also going to be featured on this issue which will have special column on Cricket Club of India, the musical ‘Bombay Dreams’ and speed dating.

Zee Network UK & Europe Chief Executive Sunil Rohra says, “We have always believed in giving the best in entertainment to our viewers over the years. Our commitment to the UK and Europe market is demonstrated by the huge investments we have made in recent times in movies, serials, Asian music and local programming”.

To be published by Profile Pursuit and edited by Brigit Grant the title will go out to Zee TV’s 100,000 subscribers and be published quarterly.

MUMBAI: Samsung TV Plus has just turned up the laughter volume and it’s completely free. The leading free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service in India has launched Kings of Comedy, a premium comedy channel featuring some of the country’s most beloved primetime shows. Available exclusively on Samsung TV Plus, the channel delivers back-to-back hits including Comedy Nights with Kapil, Khatra Khatra Khatra, and Comedy Nights Bachao, with no login or subscription required.

The launch marks a milestone for free streaming in India, offering audiences a dedicated comedy destination directly from their Samsung TV home screen. It arrives as Samsung TV Plus India celebrates its 5th anniversary, during which the service has grown its monthly active users by 42 per cent and more than doubled its total viewing hours. The platform now offers over 180 free channels across 14 languages.

Globally, Samsung TV Plus has surpassed 100 million monthly active users across more than 4,500 channels, solidifying its position as one of the world’s leading free streaming services.
