NEW DELHI: Badminton fans have a new reason to tune in this January. The Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2026 will be broadcast live on Eurosport, after the Badminton Association of India joined hands with the global sports network to beam the country’s flagship badminton event to homes nationwide.

The Super 750 tournament will run from January 13 to 18 at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, with Eurosport and Eurosport HD delivering live coverage from Centre Court along with key matches from other courts. Viewers can also expect highlights, player interviews and additional programming across the six-day spectacle.

Now in its 24th edition, the India Open has grown from a niche tournament into a marquee stop on the BWF World Tour. This year’s move to a larger venue underlines that rise, with Olympic champions, world number ones and India’s leading shuttlers all set to take the court.

Badminton Association of India’s general secretary Sanjay Mishra,  said the partnership reflects the sport’s surging popularity. “The India Open has evolved steadily in both quality and following. Working with Eurosport helps us reach a wider television audience and makes it easier for fans across the country to stay connected with the action.”

Eurosport’s involvement adds international heft to the tournament. Known for its premium sports coverage and broad global reach, the network will help shine a brighter spotlight on Indian badminton, not just at home but across multiple territories.

As a Super 750 event, the India Open offers players up to 11,000 ranking points and a prize pool of $950,000, ensuring high stakes and high intensity on court. Off it, organisers promise an enhanced fan experience to match the growing buzz around the sport.

Tickets are already on sale online, starting at Rs 400, with phased offers available. Whether you are a die-hard badminton follower or simply enjoy top-class sport, this January’s shuttle battles are set to be hard to ignore.
