Star Trek sequel gets new name

MUMBAI: The Star Trek sequel has reportedly been named Star Trek Into Darkness. The follow-up to the 2009 film will once again star Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Mr Spock and Karl Urban as Dr McCoy. JJ Abrams returns as the director of the film.
Details about the film have been kept tightly under wraps.
Benedict Cumberbatch, best known for his work in mystery series Sherlock, will play the villain.
The film is scheduled for release on 17 May next year.
