Star One claims good show by ‘Nach Baliye’ in the launch week

MUMBAI: Star One has claimed that, its brand new show Nach Baliye stuck gold in the opening week itself. Quoting Tam numbers, the channel says, the reality dance show launched on 11 October, scored 4.8 TVR to clinch a place in the top 50 club (Tam CS, 4yrs+, HSM).

A market-wise ratings offered by Tam shows that Rajastan has recorded 0.1 million plus viership, clocking the highest
ratings of 12.9 per cent. Following Rajasthan are Mumbai (8.7 TVR), Madhya Pradesh 1 million+ (7.7 per cent) and Delhi (7.4 per cent). Gujarat, Maharashtra and HSM 1million+ recorded 6.2 TVRs each.

As per the Tam data, the 35+ years age group delivered 33 per cent of the viewership, while 15-24 years age group was just a whisker away with 32 per cent.

Sector-wise, SEC A recorded the highest ratings of 36 per cent, followed by SEC B’s 26 per cent. The female segment recorded 60 per cent of the viewership.

Star One quotes Tam data for CS, Sec ABC, 4yrs+, HSM 1M+ FOR 13 October (Thursday) episode to claim that the channel grabbed 61 per cent of channel share ahead of Sony’s 27 per cent and Zee’s 12 per cent. Looking at the all day relative share, Nach Baliye helped Star One record its best ever score of 27 per cent.

Nach Baliye, the big ticket reality talent hunt property has 10 real-life television celebrity couples fighting it out in the dance floor to win the favour of the audiences as well as expert judges.

The half-hour show placed in the 9 pm slot runs Tuesday through Thursday. The episodes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays capture the reality aspects of the competition, while the Thursday episodes showcase the actual performances by celebrity couples.
