Star appoints Sanjeev Sethi new business development head
MUMBAI: Star India has appointed Reliance Infocomm’s Sanjeev Sethi as its new business development head. Sethi will be joining Star in the capacity of senior vice-president business development and will be reporting to president corporate affairs Nitin Atroley.
Sethi’s appointment fills a vacancy left after Kaushal Dalal, who was earlier EVP business development and international business, was moved into a new role as EVP strategy ad sales. Dalal, who was earlier reporting to Atroley, now reports to Star India COO Sameer Nair.
Sethi’s appointment has been confirmed to Indiantelevision.com by reliable industry sources. Although Sethi’s joining date is still not clear, indications are that he would join Star by mid-June. When asked for his comments on the reported developments, Atroley, however, remained noncommittal.
According to the information available with indiantelevision.com, Sethi was handling projects relating to the NRI market at Reliance Infocomm.
