Pepsi, etc Punjabi brew latest pop alliance

Pop bands seem to be the flavour of the season. After B4U Music and Sony Music’s launch of all girl band Teer, Channel [V] and Coke’s innovative talent hunt [V] Popstars, it is now the turn of etc Punjabi and Pepsi to dive in.

Pepsi has formed an alliance with etc Punjabi for a musical talent hunt in Punjab. The contest titled Pepsi Ban Ja Sitara will see aspiring musicians being short-listed by a panel. According to reports, while etc Punjabi is the channel partner, T Series will be Pepsi’s music partner.

Judges for the contest include Punjabi pop singers Harbhajan Mann, Hans Raj Hans and Sardool Sikandar, reports indicate. An album with the contest winner is also expected to be launched.
