News18 Bangla celebrates Education Eminence 2023 in West Bengal

Mumbai: Education provides the young minds of our country with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the world effectively. It opens several opportunities and equips them with intellectual, emotional, and social abilities, followed by bringing progress to the country. With a literacy rate of 76.26 per cent, the state of West Bengal continues to take the right steps towards further educational development.

News18 Bangla has played an instrumental role in shedding light on the unsung heroes such as the educationists and teachers who work tirelessly towards educating the future generation. To honour the impeccable efforts of such champions, News18 Bangla and the Rotary Club of Calcutta Inner City organised Education Eminence 2023 on 30 May at Swabhumi (Raajkutir), Kolkata. The initiative aimed at recognising the remarkable contributions of educational institutions that have been consistently supporting and empowering our future generations. The event honoured 33 prestigious educational institutions for their unwavering dedication and commitment. Additionally, the outstanding students who overcame various challenges and adversities to excel in this year’s board examinations were also felicitated. 

The honourable guests present for the event included Bratya Basu, minister In charge, department of higher education & School Education, govt, Of West Bengal; Rathin Ghosh, minister In charge, department of Food & Supplies, govt, of West Bengal. The other eminent personalities who graced the event were Prof. Chiranjib Bhattacharya, president, of the West Bengal Council of higher secondary education; Prof Ramanuj Ganguly, president, of West Bengal Board of secondary education; Arindam Sil, famous film director; Srijato Bandopadhyay, Eminent poet; Abir Chatterjee, eminent actor; Isha Saha, Eminent actor; Jawahar Sarkar, member of The Rajya Sabha & retired IAS; Pradeep Gooptu, retired resident editor of business standard; S.V Raman, program director at Victoria Memorial Hall and Museum; Navarun Sen, president Rotary Club of Calcutta Inner city.

The event consisted of a series of insightful panel discussions featuring distinguished individuals from the education sector, who ignited some valuable conversations and fostered meaningful insights on the recent challenges and opportunities in education. News18 India to air Sabse Bada Dangal on 4 May counting day

MUMBAI: Ballots will do the talking and screens will do the shouting. As counting day approaches for high-stakes Assembly elections across West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry, News18 India is gearing up for an all-day broadcast of its flagship election show, Sabse Bada Dangal, on 4 May from 6 am onwards.
