New seasons of ‘The West Wing’ & ‘The Sopranos’ in Zee Cafe
MUMBAI: Zee’s English general entertainment channel Zee Cafe is launching the new season of award winning series The West Wing and The Sopranos this April. The West Wing is a multiple Emmy award winning series about the inner workings of the White house. The West Wing season 3 starts every Mondays from 18 April at 9 pm.
The Sopranos is a one-hour series that combines drama with comic irony. The recipient of 44 Emmy Award nominations and first television series to win an Emmy Award for outstanding drama series will go on air from Wednesday, 20 April at 9 pm, says a company release.
Speaking on the launch of these shows, Zee Cafe business head Ajay Trigunayat said, “After enjoying the huge success of Friends, we are now launching the third seasons of The West Wing & The Sopranos. We are confident that these two shows will be as well received by our viewers.”
Adding further, Trigunayat said, “With varied new categories of programmes and specials slated for release on the channel, Zee Cafe continues its run of relevant and specialized programming to meet changing audience tastes and expectations. We have reworked our content to provide a mixed bag in order to garner a greater mass appeal.”
