NDTV 24×7 launches ‘The Car& Bike Show’

MUMBAI: Seems like NDTV 24×7 is seriously bolstering its weekend viewing. While the serious news cracking is reserved for weekdays, weekends seems to drift towards lifestyle and perspective mode.
After the popular weekend shows- We the people, Walk the Talk, BIG Fight, 24×7, I to I, 24 hours and The World this Week, the channel will premiers The Car and Bike show on Sunday, 12 October at 5:30 pm.


According to a company release, the show on the Indian automobile industry looks beyond just the sector. It will look at the individual players, models and sub sectors like auto parts and ancillaries and aims to offers a complete guide to the car buyer. 
Besides offering details about the vehicle’s statistics, the show will also offer tips on how to go about buying the vehicle and what competition it’s up against. Also amongst the regular features of the show are the new watch segment where new launches Car/Bike/Scooter will be reviewed and a comparative analysis where two most popular models will be picked and pitted against each other. 
In a segment on auto accessories, the show will offer a good look at a wide range of products from car vacuum cleaners, to audio systems and fancy chrome bike fittings to helmets. As a practical add on, the show will educate the viewer where and how they can get the best deals etc- especially for the accessories and also which models sells better, says the release.
The channel claims that the show is not just about the glamour of automobiles but also an in-depth and incisive show that covers the areas of car loans, insurance, auto ancillaries and components.
With Star World’s Top Drive and CNBC’s The Auto Show show already on air, the show already has tough competition on hand. While Top Drive airs on Sundays 9:30 pm and looks at the latest news and gossip from the automobile world, The Auto Show airs on Tuesdays at 10:30 pm claims to offers an in-depth analysis cover the areas of car loans, insurance, auto ancillaries, components, auto maintenance.

CNN-News18 to host Fury in the Gulf conclave on West Asia crisis

Three-hour summit to unpack geopolitical fallout and impact on India

MUMBAI: CNN-News18 is set to host a special three-hour broadcast, Fury in the Gulf – War Conclave, on April 7, aiming to decode the escalating West Asia crisis and its far-reaching implications for India.

Scheduled from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the conclave comes at a time when tensions between Iran and the United States are reshaping global geopolitics and triggering economic uncertainty. With India’s deep energy ties, trade links and large diaspora in the Gulf, the developments carry significant domestic relevance.

Built around the theme ‘Conflict, Consequences, and The Future,’ the programme will feature six curated sessions combining one-on-one interviews and panel discussions. The focus is to cut through the clutter and offer viewers a clearer understanding of the fast-evolving situation.

Key sessions include ‘Diplomacy in Times of War’ featuring Shashi Tharoor, and ‘World After the Iran Conflict’ with voices such as Ram Madhav, Reuven Azar, representatives from the European Union and the Iranian Deputy Envoy. Another session titled ‘Another Dunkirk?’ will bring together K. J. S. Dhillon and Jitin Prasada among others.

CNN-News18 editorial affairs director Rahul Shivshankar said, “In times of war, clarity becomes the most powerful tool. Fury in the Gulf – War Conclave brings together credible voices to address the questions and confusion that arise amid an overwhelming influx of information.”

He added that the initiative is aimed at delivering “facts, perspective, and insight” at a time when misinformation can easily cloud public understanding.
