Nat Geo Intl forms deal with Rainbow for HD content
MUMBAI: National Geographic Channel International (NGCI) has secured 25 hours of original programming from Rainbow Medias VOOM HD catalogue as part of its continuing high-definition rollout.
Rainbow Media’s international distributor IDD Distribution (IDD) did the distribution deal with NGCI. IDD’s Sandra Miles says, NGCI has a robust global reputation, and Rainbow owns the largest and most diverse suite of HD channels worldwide. This is a natural union and a tremendous benefit to international audiences who can now revel in the kind of breathtaking footage only capable in HD. We are delighted to have helped make this happen.
Most of the content in the package comes from Rush HD, including Pororoca, Quest for the Endless Wave, On a Single Breath, Angel Falls and Free Flight.

MUMBAI: Samsung TV Plus has just turned up the laughter volume and it’s completely free. The leading free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service in India has launched Kings of Comedy, a premium comedy channel featuring some of the country’s most beloved primetime shows. Available exclusively on Samsung TV Plus, the channel delivers back-to-back hits including Comedy Nights with Kapil, Khatra Khatra Khatra, and Comedy Nights Bachao, with no login or subscription required.
