Mudra Videotec to produce shows for Gemini TV, Udaya TV and Sun TV
MUMBAI: And the southward expansion continues. In a bid to buttress its south market reach, Mudra Videotec will be producing shows for Udaya TV and Sun TV is in the pipeline. That in addition to two primetime dailies and one weekly on Gemini programmes.
Production house that has had a successful partnership with the pubcaster Doordarshan, has commissioned Vista Vision to produce two dailies for Gemini TV. Vista Vision- the maker of Gemini TV and Sun TV will be producing Manchi Manasulu and Kshanam Kshanam Bhayam Bhayam.
Manchi… a mega family-drama revolving around two women is scheduled to premiere on 26 June, from Monday -Friday at 9 pm. The daily soap is directed by S V Solairaja, who has also directed popular Gemini shows like Athamma and Ammakosam.
While Kshanam…, a horror-suspense-thriller with the special effects will debut on the channel from 31 May. Directed by Balki Asaithambi, the daily will air from Monday to Friday at 10:30 PM
The episodic drama begins with story Yakshi, which revolves around goddess Sri Kanaka Durga. The next programme for Gemini is Sreenivasa Leelalu, a weekly. It is based on the ‘leelas’ of Lord Venkateswara.
The production house has had a long-term association with Doordarshan and its advertisers through top slotted serials like Shayad Tum, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and Mere Humsafar.
Currently it is producing two weekly prime time shows for DD and also a kid’s programme.
Some of Mudra Videotec’s notable successes on DD have been programs like Buniyad, Udaan, Rajani, Manoranjan, Ados Pados and sponsored telefilms.
