MTV to telecast Video Music Awards tomorrow

MTV India will telecast the 2002 edition of the MTV Video Music Awards on 7 September at 2 pm with repeats on 8 September at 6 pm and 9 September at 11:30 pm.

Eminem's video Without Me won the Video of the year award as well as the awards in the male, rap and director categories. Pink won two awards for Get the part started.

A pleasant surprise was the appearance of Guns N Roses. The group had disappeared after releasing their last album The Spaghetti Incident in 1993. They performed a new song Madagascar. Another surprise was the appearance of New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani who paid tribute to the spirit of the city.
