GoM panel set to meet, Star News tops agenda

NEW DELHI / MUMBAI: The group of ministers (GoM) panel, set up last month to examine the Star News case in particular and media policies in general, will have its first meeting later today.
The GoM includes representatives from the department of space and ministries of information and broadcasting, home, law and finance. Among those confirmed as attending today’s meeting are I&B minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union finance minister Jaswant Singh and Union minister of law & justice, commerce & industry Arun Jaitley.
Once the GoM has deliberated on the matter relating to media, it is expected to be taken up by the Cabinet.
