Discovery launches male channel in the UK
MUMBAI: Discovery has launched a new lifestyle channel – Discovery Real Time Extra – in the UK.
Media reports indicate that the new channel is available through BSkyB and as a male-focussed network will compliment its existing portfolio of channels. Discovery Real Time Extra, which is now available on Sky, aims to provide practical advice and motivation for male viewers who wish to make the most of their “real time”.
The channel will operate alongside the Discovery Real Time channel, which was rebranded from Discovery Home & Leisure in May. Discovery Real Time Extra will take some programming from its sister channel and will also include specially commissioned content reports state.
