DD1 debuts family saga ‘Kkaanch’
MUMBAI: Seems like K is not just popular with Star Plus, Doordarshan has launched a new daily Kkaanch from 1 November 2004.
Produced by Raman Kumar and directed by Ashish Khurana, the serial is being telecast on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:30 PM on the pubcasters national network DD1.
While the music for the show is composed by Lalit Sen, cinematography is directed by Illyas Sheikh and screenplay by Anjana Sood.
The daily’s star cast comprises some good names like Kanwaljeet, Avinash Wadhawan, Uday Tikekar, Usha Bachani, Ananya Khare, Madhavi Singh and Smriti Shetty, says a company release.
According to the release, Kkaanch is said to be a journey of emotions, the saga of circumstances where relationships are fragile and yet tough.
The serial tells story of a Kanwar family comprising an adorable father, a caring mother, and two daughters- Payal and Palak. While everything is hunky dory, calamity befalls on the family ripping them apart.

MUMBAI: Shin chan is back and this time, he’s bringing the whole house of masti with him! Sony YAY!, India’s leading kids’ entertainment channel, has unveiled ‘House of Masti’, a specially curated programming block to mark 20 years of the iconic animated series Shin chan on Indian television. The campaign transforms the beloved character’s mischievous world into a fresh, high-energy viewing experience. It features new episodes, fan-favourite moments, and themed programming stunts, all designed to stand out from regular broadcasts.
Adding extra sparkle to the celebration, popular comedian Kiku Sharda has joined the campaign. He anchors the integration with a lively rap track titled ‘Shin chan ka YAY! Dhamaal’, infusing contemporary music and humour into the beloved series.

Starting 27 April, viewers can enjoy the World Television Premiere of Shin chan along with new episodes and an exciting lineup of blockbuster movies on Sony YAY!.
