MUMBAI: C-Voter Broadcast News (CVB News), one of the fastest growing Indian-origin television news agencies in the Asian subcontinent, is set to launch its services in Bengali starting 14 March.

Branded as CVB-Bangla, the feed will benefit TV news channels in West Bengal and Bangladesh. With this development, CVB News would also become the first Broadcast news agency to launch its services in regional languages. The services in Bengali will be followed by other major regional languages in a phased manner, the agency said.

CVB will provide 70 plus national news packages along with approximately 30 exclusive stories from West Bengal region, taking the total agency output to 100 plus news packages every day.

Besides being produced in local language, this will fulfill longstanding demand of regional media of “plug & play” news packages, which will bring the production cost substantially down for the CVB News subscribers.

CVB News said that it is also in the process of finalising some important international tie-ups for dissemination of global news for Indian television channels, besides setting up own bureaus and retainer services across South Asia as well as UK and USA.

CVB has been providing news capsules from across South Asia under the brand name of UNI TV, besides value-added stories in specific areas like health, entertainment, sports, environment and science and technology. The service has now been rebranded as CVB News.
