Comedian Cyril Fletcher passes away

MUMBAI: Veteran comedian and broadcaster Cyril Fletcher has died after a short illness. He was 91.

Fletcher will be remembered for his odd odes on the BBC show That’s Life where he won millions of fans. He made regular appearances in BBC radio’s Does The Team Think?

When television was introduced, Fletcher became one of the first stars of the small screen in 1937. He did several films also. He was most recently seen presenting a gardening programme for Channel TV.
