CBS gets 53 Daytime Emmy nominations
NEW YORK: The National Television Academy announced the nominees for the 31st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The awards will air on 21 May on NBC in the US from Radio City Music Hall.
CBS got 53 nominations which is more than the other broadcast networks NBC, ABC and Fox. The Young And The Restless was the most nominated show with 16 nominations. As The World Turns got 14. The longest soap in television history Guiding Light was cited 12 times. The Bold and The Beautiful which airs in India on Star World got five nominations.
The awards recognise achievement in all fields of daytime television production. American Airlines is the official airline of the National Television Academy for the awards.
