Cartoon Network & Pogo shine at the Promax World Gold Awards

MUMBAI: Leaders in the kids’ television genre in India – Cartoon Network and Pogo – together bagged five awards, including three golds and two silvers at the 2005 Promax World Gold Awards held in New York.

This time around the in-house creative services department of Turner Entertainment Network Asia (TENA) has won laurels for the innovative “Best Place for Family”, “Tiny TV” and “Prime Pogo” print ad campaigns for the group’s exclusive multi genre kids’ entertainment channel created for India – Pogo.

In addition, Cartoon Network also bagged awards for Best Consumer Promotion, Copywriting and Use of Original Music Composition.

To date, Turner Entertainment Network’s Asia has won over 125 awards from Promax& BDA and other award giving bodies.

The awards won by Cartoon Network and Pogo at the 2005 Promax World Gold Awards are as follows:

    Best Consumer Promotion– Gold for “Tiny TV lunch case”
    Best Copywriting- Gold for “Tom & Jerry Marinate You”
    Best Use of Original Music Composition– Gold for “Tom & Jerry Marinate You”
    Best Consumer or Trade Print Ad Campaign– Silver for “The Best Place: Family”, “Tiny TV”, “Prime Pogo”
    Best Consumer Promotion– Silver for “The CN Ham Memo Slices”

Sony YAY! launches ‘House of Masti’ to celebrate 20 years of Shin chan

MUMBAI: Shin chan is back and this time, he’s bringing the whole house of masti with him! Sony YAY!, India’s leading kids’ entertainment channel, has unveiled ‘House of Masti’, a specially curated programming block to mark 20 years of the iconic animated series Shin chan on Indian television. The campaign transforms the beloved character’s mischievous world into a fresh, high-energy viewing experience. It features new episodes, fan-favourite moments, and themed programming stunts, all designed to stand out from regular broadcasts.

Adding extra sparkle to the celebration, popular comedian Kiku Sharda has joined the campaign. He anchors the integration with a lively rap track titled ‘Shin chan ka YAY! Dhamaal’, infusing contemporary music and humour into the beloved series.

Sony YAY! business head of kids and animation Ambesh Tiwari said, “Over the past 20 years, Shin chan has built a strong and enduring connection with audiences in India. Starting 27 April, viewers can enjoy the World Television Premiere of Shin chan along with new episodes and an exciting lineup of blockbuster movies on Sony YAY!.
