Bhaskar group acquires ‘Divya Bhaskar’ and ‘Saurashtra Samachar’

NEW DELHI: The Bhaskar group, a diversified media group, today announced that it has acquired newspapers, Divya Bhaskar of Baroda and Saurashtra Samachar, apart from launching a Hindi magazine.

On 11 September, the Baroda edition of Divya Bhaskar would be launched with an initial run of 250,000 copies. With this launch, there will be five editions of Divya Bhaskar addressing readers in Gujarat.

The Bhaskar group said that Saurashtra Samachar’s acquisition would result in greater synergies between the parent company’s infrastructure and that of the acquired newspaper.
