Beckham to dribble it with Scooby Doo in Adidas ad

MUMBAI: According to reports appeared in the European media, sportswear giant Adidas’ latest ad campaign starring soccer star David Beckham and cartoon dog detective Scooby Doo will be launched throughout Europe on cable and satellite television on 1 October.
 
The cartoon film has Beckham donning the role of a supernatural character. Later in the ad, Scooby Doo and his human allies unmask him.
 
Beckham, who did his own voice-over for the film has been quoted in media reports as saying, “I liked the idea that I would feature in a legendary cartoon that my kids watch. Scooby-Doo has a massive following around the world.”
 

Adidas had signed a lucrative contract with Beckham and the campaign is part of the contract. Adidas has also launched its “Impossible is Nothing” campaign in India recently. The sportswear has roped in, besides Sachin Tendulkar, cricketers Virendra Sehwag, Ashish Nehra and Zaheer Khan as brand ambassadors.
