Bakshi roped in as Disney Consumer Products director
MUMBAI: The Walt Disney Company (India) has appointed Roshini Bakshi as director of Disney Consumer Products India (DCP).
Based in Mumbai, Bakshi will report to The Walt Disney Company (India) managing director Rajat Jain.
Bakshi will be responsible for leading the growth of the existing licensing business of DCP in India across various categories such as apparel and footwear, toys and role-play sets, home décor, books, interactive games, food and beverages, electronics and animation art, while identifying and realising the growth opportunities for DCP in the emerging retail landscape in India.
As an executive member of The Walt Disney India management team, she will also be working alongside the TV and other lines of businesses to position DCP as an important vehicle to drive synergies of the company in India.
“Roshini’s experience both in the retail and licensing space will be critical to us in realising the potentials of India as one of the fastest growing retail market in the Asia Pacific region. We are confident that Roshini’s expertise coupled with extremely strong franchises and our high brand equity will help drive Disney Consumer Products into a new era of growth in India,” said Jain.
Bakshi joins Disney with over 16 years of experience in the field of marketing and licensing across various industries spanning retail, consumer products, finance and IT. Prior to joining Disney, she held the position of group vice president marketing at Polaris Software Labs.
In her earlier assignments Bakshi has worked with Mattel Toys (India) Pvt. Ltd., Prudential ICICI Mutual Funds, Amex-TRS and Lakme Lever Ltd.

The campaign transforms the beloved character’s mischievous world into a fresh, high-energy viewing experience. It features new episodes, fan-favourite moments, and themed programming stunts, all designed to stand out from regular broadcasts.
Adding extra sparkle to the celebration, popular comedian Kiku Sharda has joined the campaign. He anchors the integration with a lively rap track titled ‘Shin chan ka YAY! Dhamaal’, infusing contemporary music and humour into the beloved series.
