Arts auction at Lycra MTV Style Awards

MUMBAI: Art and Fashion will come together in a celebration of individualistic style on 17 October. The Lycra MTV Style Awards to be held at the Jamshed Bhabha Auditorium, Mumbai will see Indian artists showcasing their works.

The artists whose craft will be on display include Naina Kanodia, Reena Saini Kallat, Chintan & Hema Upadhyay, Bose Krishnamachari. They will showcase their version of ‘Desi Cool’ which is the theme of the awards function. 
Prospective buyers can see the works which will be auctioned through a silent auction. Proceeds of the sale will go to the artiste’s choice of charity including SPCA, Cancer Patients Aids Association amongst others..
As reported earlier by Indiantelevision.com a collection by Rohit Bal set to music created by Trilok Gurtu will open the evening. Malini Ramani, Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi will also showcase their exclusive creations assembled to ‘Desi Cool’ themes. Each designer’s collection will be sashayed by the country’s hottest models, who will walk the runaway to live music composed by Medieval Punditz, Salim Suleman and DJ Aqueel.
