Angelina Jolie is Hollywood.com’s entertainer of the year

MUMBAI: American entertainment publication Hollywood.com has announced that actress Angelina Jolie has been voted as the superstar of the year.

Earlier this year Hollywood.com launched a new site search function to study its industry leading movie and people-specific databases to provide consumers with more accurate search listings.

This search technology learns from users’ behaviours and continuously reorders results. In an analysis of all searches conducted so far during 2005, Hollywood.com let its audience determine the most sought after celebrities of the year.

Jake Gyllenhaal who is getting raves for his performance as a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain came in second.

George Clooney who directed the critically acclaimed film Good Night and Good Luck is also in the top five list along with Sin City star Jessica Alba and Tom Cruise.

Hollywood.com’s nearly four million unique users showed that Paris Hilton was the most popular search across its databases in 2005, beating out Pamela Anderson and even Jessica Simpson.
