33,000 attend Zee Mela 2002 in UK

MUMBAI: Zee Network organised event Mela 2002 which took place this past weekend (18 to 20 October) at Birmingham’s NEC in the UK saw an attendance of 33,000.

The first Mela to be held in Birmingham was organised in conjunction with Midland’s based ITV region Carlton, the UK-based website Mediabullet reported.

Indian stars present at the event included Anil Kapoor, Bally Sagoo, Apache Indian, Nina Wadia, Meera Syal, Harbhajan Mann, DCS, D.I.P, Narinder from Big Brother UK, Amit Channa from Bend It Like Beckham and Miss India UK Sukhi.
